Event Cancellations
By now all those entered in our Go Tri duathlon and the Mother’s day challenge on 22nd March or the Stradbroke Triathlon weekend in May should have received emails notifying them of the event cancellations due to the current Covid-19 pandemic.
Whilst this is not something we wanted to do we had no option – at the end of the day everyone’s safety and well-being is obviously more important than any race.
The emails sent out on 27th March offered 3 options: –
- Transfer to a future event
- Refund
- Donating entry fee to charity
So far we’ve had a big response, so thanks!
Whilst some have understandably asked for a refund in what are difficult times for a lot of people, many have requested to transfer to either September’s duathlon at High Lodge (which will also act as a catch up for those chasing their hard-earned series award) or in the case of Stradbroke Tri/Junior aquathlon to the 2021 event.
We have also been bowled over by the generosity of those donating their entry fees to either Young Minds who were our chosen charity for the Go Tri duathlon series or Suffolk Accident & Rescue Service who are charity partner for Stradbroke Triathlon…Thanks again!!
If anyone entered into one of the events but didn’t receive an email please contact us at info@canbuttri.co.uk – we have set a deadline to process all requests by 30th April.
Here’s looking forward to when life returns to something like normal.
All the best
Iain & Jill Dawson
